Celebrating Your Dog’s Gotcha Day & Where to Adopt a Pet in the Tri-State
Today is my Wrigley's "gotcha" day, it's the day I met her and said "this is mine" and paid the best $135 I've ever spent. I was a senior in college, lived with a roommate, worked part time, while going to school full time, and honestly the last thing I needed was to be responsible for a pet, but I'm sure glad I decided to!
Dogs are great, I mean who else are you excited to get home to because they'll be standing right by the door waiting for you? Who else is just happy and content being in your company?
Ever since losing my dog Bailey last year it's made me want to celebrate every single thing with George and Wrigley even more. Really the worst thing about dogs is the fact that they just don't stay with us near long enough. So I'll continue being the "crazy dog lady" and celebrating my dogs "gotcha" days and birthdays with extra treats and snuggles, because they don't have nearly enough time with us here on earth. But I wouldn't trade the time I have with them for anything.
If you think a rescued pet could be the perfect fit for you and your family, check out these Evansville Area Shelters, chances are at one of these you’ll find the pet that is the perfect fit for your family! So far I'm 2 for 2 with shelter pets! Both Wrigley and George have added so much joy to my life!
