Everyone loves a nice lazy river, right? I'd be willing to bet, however, that you have never been on a lazy river quite like this before.

One of the best and most popular attractions at any waterpark is the lazy river. It's great for people of all ages, and whenever you're tired of walking around from slide to slide and you just want to relax and unwind, there's nothing better than floating along a lazy river for as long as you want. Honestly, when I was a kid, I never really got much into the lazy river scene because I was more interested in the giant water slides. However, the older I get, the more I am attracted to doing nothing all day but kicking back and floating. I could honestly spend all day on the lazy river and be happy and content with my visit to the waterpark.

That being said, there's a new lazy river in Tennessee that is unlike any lazy river you have ever floated on before. Why? Because it's well...you'll just have to see for yourself. I promise it is nothing short of epic!

They have added a few new attractions to the waterpark, but the one that has everyone talking is the new Kaleidoscope Kavern Lazy River. According to Wilderness at the Smokies, here's what you can expect on this one-of-a-kind lazy river:

When guests float down our new Kaleidoscope Kavern Lazy River, they will enter a unique tunnel where they will be surrounded by a dreamlike universe made of beautiful projections, dynamic lighting and nature sounds inspired by not only the Smoky Mountain region but also our magical planet.

This thing sounds awesome! According to Pete Tennis, the  Managing Director for Wilderness of the Smokies, there are nine different "themes" in this immersive lazy river. “There are actually nine ‘themes’ in this immersive lazy river, and I'm not going to lie, it sounds really cool. When it comes to the themes and what you can expect inside the lazy river:

"Some are more realistic and others are fantasy. They include the sight of dancing fireflies; the changing seasons; the sound of water; chromatic currents; the evolving cycle of life; and my personal favorite, Aurora + Aqua Borealis, where the worlds of water and sky collide as if you are dreaming."
