Nutrisca Dry Dog Food Recalled Due to High Levels of Vitamin D
St. Louis-based Nutrisca is voluntarily recalling "one formula of Nutrisca® dry dog food due to it containing elevated levels of vitamin D," according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
According to the recall, the following brands are affected, and were sold through various retailers nationwide:
- 4 lbs Nutrisca® Chicken and Chickpea Dry Dog Food
- Bag UPC: 8-84244-12495-7
- 15 lbs Nutrisca® Chicken and Chickpea Dry Dog Food
- Bag UPC: 8-84244-12795-8
- 28 lbs Nutrisca® Chicken and Chickpea Dry Dog Food
- Bag UPC: 8-84244-12895-5
The bags all have a Best By Date code of February 25, 2020 through September 13, 2020 which can be found on the back or bottom of each bag.
If you have any of the brands listed, stop feeding them to your dog immediately, and return it to the store where you purchased if for a full refund.
