“Newburgh Remembers” Continues Sunday with a Civil War Skirmish
Today was my first time ever to witness a war re-enactment that took place along the banks of the Ohio River at the Newburgh Old Lock and Dam. It's all part of the Newburgh Remembers weekend continuing on Sunday July 17th. I found it very educational, interesting, and entertaining!
Families are invited to watch a Civil War skirmish scheduled at 11am free of charge. There will be food vendors available and if possible, bring your own chairs. Otherwise, you can sit in the grass area behind the log cabin to watch the raid on Newburgh.
Tickets will be needed for the Civil War Historic Homes Tour at 12:30pm and can be purchased at the homes on tour. Reservations are required for the trial of Andrew Huston at 2pm. Please visit: www.Newburghremembers.com
