One person's trash is another's treasure, right?

We all have stuff. Some of that stuff we want to hold for any number of reasons. For example, it was passed down to us from a relative. Some of it we picked up along the way for one reason or another. Like, someone you knew had it, they didn't want it anymore, and you figured you could put it to good use. Now that item served its purpose and you're ready to unload it on someone who needs it. Some of us choose to donate it to a local non-profit, while others choose to see if they can at least get some money out of it. Several Newburgh residents will do the latter this Friday and Saturday during the town's annual Community Yard Sale.

29 different homes will set up shop on their property all over town both Friday and Saturday selling a variety of items, including clothing, jewelry, furniture, appliances, tools, antiques, even records, books, and more.

This will be a great opportunity for you to find some new-to-you clothes for yourself or your family, or for a soon-to-be college student to find a few pieces of furniture for their dorm room or on-campus apartment.

Maybe you collect antiques or are hoping to stumble upon an item that could be worth something more down the road. Or, maybe you don't necessarily need anything, but want to enjoy a few hours outdoors browsing. Whatever your taste, chances are you'll find something you can't live without.

Fortunately, it looks like the weather will cooperate. The National Weather Service is currently forecasting sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80s on both days. So, get out there and get yourself something pretty.
