Hey, Mountain Dew! What did Indiana ever do to you???

Mountain Dew On Social Media

Mountain Dew is a popular soda owned by Pepsi. We know all about Mountain Dew. It's well known for its signature green color packaging and citrus flavor, but it often releases different variations of flavors, including Code Red and Baja Blast. For millions of Americans, Mountain Dew is their go-to drink.

Like all brands, they have a strong online presence and are no strangers to sharing a funny jab here or there.  The Mountain Dew Facebook page has 7.2 million followers and often shares memes that include its brand. Oftentimes, they are pretty entertaining. That being said, for some reason, Mountain Dew has made it a point to throw shade and troll the entire state of Indiana this year.

Mountain Dew: "Let's start a beef with the entire state of Indiana."

Okay, let's take you on a little trip of Mountain Dew's history of trolling Indiana thus far in 2025. The whole trolling of Indiana from Mountain Dew began earlier this year in May, when the company made a play on the popular "one must go" meme, where you put four things on a post and people must choose one that has to go. Well, one of those "one must go" options was the entire state of Indiana. Check it out:

Honestly, when they made this post, I had a good chuckle, but it also had me wondering why Indiana, of all states? Fast forward a couple of months to July, when it seemed like Mountain Dew was trying to redeem itself with the following post.

Aww, that's sweet! Let's be honest, with the number of people here in Indiana that drink Mountain Dew like it's their job, I wouldn't be surprised if a good chunk of their profits comes from the Hoosier State. Clearly, Mountain Dew is aware of that, hence the post they made a month later:

It's been about two months since Mountain Dew has given some love to the state of Indiana, but that all changed with their Facebook post yesterday. Mountain Dew posted another "one's got to go" type of post, and once again, Indiana got called out. Check it out below:

Of course, all of these posts from Mountain Dew are in good fun. The comments are mostly people just roasting Indiana, and they are pretty darn funny. And look, I get it, Indiana deserves a good roast. It still baffles me why Indiana, of all states, seems to be the one trolled by Mountain Dew. But hey, at least Mountain Dew acknowledges us!
