Mesker Park Zoo Brew Is Set For June 7th

The Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden is one of the most family-friendly destinations in the Evansville area and a great bargain too especially if you are a Zoo member which we are. My kids love strolling around the Zoo and they especially enjoy 'Boo At the Zoo' which is the perfect Halloween warm-up. Another great event that is just for the grown-ups is the Zoo Brew which is set for June 7th from 7-10pm. The Zoo Brew allows you to stroll through the Zoo and sample as many as 25 different beers from some of our local brewers, wines as well as food samples from over 20 area restaurants that will fill you up in a hurry.

Evansville is blessed to have some very fine local craft beer brewers. Tin Man Brewing Co. is one of our favorite places to go and their beers are exceptionally good. My favorite is the Rivet Irish Red Ale. Turoni's not only has some of the best pizza in the area, but their craft beers are perfect with their menu. My favorite Turoni's brew is the Honey Blonde Ale. I just recent discovered Carson's Brewery and developed a big time fondness for their Harlot Honey Blonde.

There is also live entertainment along the path which makes for a unique and fun night out for mom and dad. A souvenir sampling mug is provided to all attendees upon arrival and the event is sponsored by Toyota.

Tickets are $30 in advance and at the gate the night of the event. For $60 you can get a VIP ticket which includes special parking, access to the Discovery Center which is air-conditioned with exclusive food and drink stations. There are a limited number of those tickets and when they are gone...they're gone!
