When you have pets, one simple thing you can do to keep them healthy is to keep them up to date on their pet vaccines.  I know, sometimes that annual vet visit can cost an arm and a leg, so any chance these low-cost clinics come up, I want to make sure to let you know!

The Vanderburgh Humane Society has a few low-cost clinics lined up, with the first one being this Saturday, February 12th from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

We offer standard cat and dog vaccinations, basic disease testing (FELV, FIV, Heartworm), flea prevention, heartworm prevention, and ID microchipping. A convenient, affordable option for keeping up on your pet’s preventative care.
Walk-in ONLY! Open 7:30 am-1:30 pm
First come, first served via take a number system.

To see the full list of vaccines offered, and to check prices, you can see the vaccine list, here. They will also be offering microchipping for $25. If you aren't sure what microchipping your animal means, microchipping is a great way to make sure that if your pet were to get out, they can get back to you. It's a small chip that's implanted under the skin, and you upload your info onto it.  That way if your dog or cat were to get out and didn't have their collar on, someone can take them to any shelter or vet and have them scanned, and your information will be on them when they scan the chip. It really is a great way to help make sure your pet
