Just when we were all getting used to the convenience of being able to drive in either lane of the Twin Bridges, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) announces a new set of daytime lane restrictions beginning next Tuesday, August 21st. Fortunately, they won't last long.

Spokesperson Keith Todd announced the upcoming closures through is Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon saying the restrictions will be in place to allow crews the ability to perform inspections safely.

Todd says restrictions will be in place from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. each day with the northbound bridge being restricted to one lane on August 21st and 22nd, and the southbound bridge receiving the same treatment August 23rd and 24th. Traffic is scheduled to return to normal after work is completed on August 24th barring any unforeseen delays.
