Lady Antebellum and Tourmates Sing Shania Twain’s ‘You’re Still the One’
Lady Antebellum sat down recently with Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young to perform a beautiful rendition of the Shania Twain classic, "You're Still the One."
Sitting side by side on a couch in a living room like setting, the country trio and their 2017 You Look Good World Tour opening acts hit all the right notes on the emotional ballad. Hillary Scott takes the first verse before Ballerini jumps in on the second half with her sweet voice. They all harmonize stunningly on the chorus as Lady A's Dave Haywood strums along on guitar. Ballerini and Young, who is a Taste of Country RISER in 2017, then join together for a verse before the group of five ends out the number strong, harmonizing the last few lines together.
"I've always been a big Shania Twain fan. I've always thought she made timeless music. And, man, 'Still the One' is such a timeless song and a timeless melody," Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley tells Rolling Stone Country about why they chose to cover the song. "If the fans love it, then I think we should try to do it out on tour."
Ballerini and Young join the superstar trio as supporting acts on their 2017 tour that launches on May 26 and takes them not only across the U.S., but around the globe, with stops in Canada and even South Africa. They'll make a pit stop at 2017 WE Fest as one of the headliners. The "Yeah Boy" and "In Case You Didn't Know" singers will also appear at the festival.
The start of the tour is followed on June 9 by the release of Lady A's 2017 album, Heart Break, that includes the fiery first single, "You Look Good."
