Kix Brooks Talks About Upcoming Brooks & Dunn Evansville Concert And More In WKDQ Interview
Brooks & Dunn will be bringing their Reboot Tour to the Ford Center on May 5th. I had the pleasure of talking to Kix Brooks earlier today about the tour, his career, and even hit him with some fun rapid-fire questions too.
Brooks & Dunn Coming To Evansville In 2022
Brooks & Dunn will be coming to The Ford Center on May 5, 2022. Over the past 30+ years, these guys have put out iconic hit after hit from "Boots Scootin' Boogie," "Hard Working Man," "Neon Moon," "Believe,"My Maria"...the list goes on and on. Now we are going to be able to hear them perform these hits live in Evansville! This is truly a bucket list concert for me and I can not wait to see them make their way to the Ford Center.
Jon Pardi will be opening for them on the Evansville stop.In 2019, Brooks & Dunn released their "Reboot" album which features them collaborating with several newer artists to "reboot" some of their biggest hits. Jon joined them on one of my personal favorites, "Next Broken Heart". I'm hoping to see them perform this song together at the Ford Center in May!
Tickets for the show are still available at The Ford Center Box Office and Ticketmaster.com.
Kix Brooks Interview Part 1
I still can't believe that I had the privilege of talking to one of my favorites in country music, Kix Brooks, earlier today. We talked a bit about the upcoming tour, what you can expect from Brooks & Dunn in Evansville, how Kix and Ronnie met, and how they knew they had something as a duo. Check it out:
Kix Brooks Interview Part 2
In this section of the interview, I spoke with Kix about his songwriting and what is the song that means the most to him, as well as some of his favorite current songs in country music. My favorite part was discussing with him how country music speaks to everyone and how there are still songs that are coming out that make us think "Why hasn't anyone thought of this before?!"
Kix Brooks Interview Conclusion
Finally, I had some fun with Kix and hit him with some rapid-fire questions. We talked about how to make a great steak, his Mount Rushmore of Country Music, and the best piece of advice he ever received (which I think everyone needs to hear).
I can't thank Kix Brooks enough for taking time out of his day to speak with me today. It was truly a pleasure and a dream come true to chat with him. Such a nice guy! Don't miss out on seeing Kix and Ronnie when Brooks & Dunn return to Evansville on May 5th. It's surely going to be a party at the Ford Center!
