One Indiana Convenience Store Location Raised $14k to Take Kids Holiday Shopping
It is truly the season of giving and that is apparent in so many ways, but especially at one Indiana convenience store.
Karing for Kids
With 129 locations spanning Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee, Huck's Market helps hundreds of children with their Karing for Kids program. Money raised through the program not only helps purchase gifts for the holiday season, but also provides funding throughout the year for things like cancer treatments, backpack programs, St. Jude scholarships, and more.
Eighteen Years of Making a Difference
In its eighteenth year, Huck's Karing for Kids raises money through not only corporate sponsorships with community partners but also through more grassroots methods like bake sales and rummage sales at a local, store level.
A primary part of Huck’s mission statement is our Karing for Kids program. This program is now in its 18th year and was crafted by Huck’s to make Christmas special for those children who are less fortunate and to give back to the communities we live and work in. That’s not all though! Karing for Kids also provides funds and relief for families with children undergoing medical treatments, disaster relief, scholarships, and other programs such as local charities, Special Olympics, and St. Jude.
Nearly 2,000 Kids Will Get Toys Thanks to the Program
As a whole, Huck's Market stores in the region collectively raised $286,638 with the Karing for Kids program. That money will provide holiday gifts to nearly 2,000 children this year alone.
Huck’s Market is all about family…. Especially the kids!
100% of Proceeds Stay in the Community
Of course, the community plays a huge role in the Karing for Kids program as well. Loyal Huck's patrons who contribute make a tremendous impact and all of their donations stay in their community. Huck's pledges 100% of the proceeds from each store stay in their respective markets.
One Evansville Store Raised $14,000
In Evansville, Indiana the new Huck's location at 101 North Cross Pointe Boulevard raised an impressive $14,000 to take kids Christmas shopping this holiday season. There is no doubt that the season is going to be merry and bright thanks to the generous spirit of the Evansville community.
