Joey Martin Feek Falls Into a Deep Sleep and Has Stopped Fighting

This is such incredibly sad news to share.

Joey and Rory Feek have kept us updated all about their journey with country music, their beautiful daughter, and Joey's battle with cancer.  Today her husband Rory posted on their This is The Life I Live blog that Joey has been sleeping for a few days and she is drifting off on her own will.  According to her hospice nurse, she isn't expected to live more than a few days.   Luckily before she drifted off to sleep she did get to see her family and tell everyone how much she loves them, and she was able to spend some time with her daughter, Indiana, telling her how much she loved her, and how she had to be "strong for papa, and that mama will be watching over you."

In his latest blog post Rory wrote about how Joey has no regrets:

“One of the last things Joey said before she drifted into the deep sleep she’s been in for a few days now is, ‘I have no regrets … I can honestly say, that I have done everything I wanted to do and lived the life I always wanted to live’”

Joey, Rory, Indiana, and their family and friends will certainly be in our thoughts and prayers.
