Jimmy Houston Hosting Free Kids Fishing Clinic in Mt. Vernon June 8th

Jimmy Houston is man who hasn't met a fish he hasn't tried to catch, and he's coming to Mt. Vernon to freely share his skills for hooking the big one during a free clinic for kids between the ages of 5-14 on Saturday, June 8th (2019).

The longtime host of Jimmy Houston Outdoors will set up shop near the lake in the back corner of the Expressway Auto Mall by Expressway Chevy beginning at 10:00 a.m., and will show kids in attendance tips and tricks, along with proper baiting and casting techniques (like in the video below), as well as offer hundreds of prizes throughout the morning including those for Biggest Fish, Blue Gill, Bass and Catfish.

The day will also feature lunch and an appearance by the Indiana Department of Natural Resource's National Archery Trailer featuring a kids archery range from 10:00 a.m. until Noon.
