Pappy Van Winkle Raffle Benefits So. IN Ronald McDonald House

Any event that raises money for a worthy cause is a good fundraiser - although some fundraisers are better than others. Maybe "better" isn't the right word - some fundraisers are more unique than others. What the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley (RMHC) are doing right now is pretty unique and pretty amazing.

The "Purpose" and the "Pappy"

The Ronald McDonald House is a fantastic place that needs our continued support. It's "a place where families of critically ill children call home during crisis and uncertainty." We're talking about families that spend prolonged periods of time away from home while their child receives care or treatment in the hospital. The RMHC is here for those parents and siblings, giving them a place to call home, and hopefully a little comfort, during a really difficult time.

If you are a connoisseur of bourbon, then you probably already know that the other half of this raffle refers to Julian “Pappy” Van Winkle and Kentucky's Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery.

Who's Ready to Raffle?

The "Pappy for a Purpose" raffle is a chance for you to win a full flight of the Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve Bourbon collection, which has become extremely rare and highly collectible. This collection is worth $18,000 (though most consider it to be priceless)! The flight includes one bottle of each:

"Pappy for a Purpose" Tickets - Where, When, and How Much?

The first thing you need to know is there are a limited number of tickets available for purchase - just 1,974 - and that number gets smaller every day. Tickets are just $50 each and can be purchased in the following ways:

At the two Evansville locations of the Ronald McDonald House Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In-person by credit card

Drawing takes place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 - our charity's "Day of Caring." Need not be present to win. Only 1974 tickets will be sold!

How Will I Know If I Win the "Pappy for a Purpose" Raffle?

The winner will be announced during a Facebook Live event on October 15, 2024, a date that honors the anniversary of the opening of the first Ronald McDonald House in 1974. Any person 21 years of age or older residing in the United States where the raffle is not prohibited may purchase a ticket.
