Interview with Band Directors in Pasadena, California

About The Rose Bowl Parade:

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association selected 20 high school marching bands to be a part of the 2024 Rose Parade. Ten of those bands are from California, so for Newburgh, Indiana to be a part of this annual celebration is quite a big deal.

I was quite surprised to learn that the parade route is 5 1/2 miles long. California is on Pacific time, so that means they are two hours behind us here in Southern Indiana. So, while we are watching them live on New Year's Day at 10:00 am, keep in mind that it is 8:00 am out there.

ABC 25 will carry the 135th Rose Bowl Parade beginning at 10:00 am Central Time.

Public Viewing Party

If you would prefer to watch the amazing performance with friends, Prime Sports has a special viewing party planned. Normally the sports bar and grill opens at 11:00 am, but owner David Parker is opening the doors an hour early. He plans to have the Rose Bowl Parade available to watch on 17 televisions.

30 Bizarre (and Real) Indiana High School Mascots

According to High School.com, there are 682 high schools in Indiana. 555 of those are public schools, while the remaining 127 are private. A majority of those schools have chosen typical mascots to represent them, like eagles, tigers, lions, jets, patriots, and so on and so forth.
