Evansville Green River Road Pizza Hut Fire: Construction Update

The Evansville fire department was called to a fire at the Pizza Hut location site on North Green River Road Friday afternoon.

I reached out to the owner to find out how much damage the fire caused, and if the remodel is still on schedule.

"Luckily the fire seems to have been small and confined to a small area.  There was some water damage from putting it out but nothing major.  Our hope is that it doesn’t change our opening date."

Is Pizza Hut Closing All Dining Rooms?

This question has its own thread on Reddit, and it made me stop and think about how many Pizza Huts still offer dine-in around Evansville, Indiana. The answer to that question is zero for now. There are four locations that do not have a dining room, but soon the one on North Green River Road will reopen.

New Brand Design

Now, all of the design details have not been made public yet. I do know that this Pizza Hut in Evansville, Indiana will be the first of its kind. There are locations with a bar, but the Green River Road location will be different, and pretty 'Sauce-um'!

The owner is hopeful that the opening date will be in August 2024.
