If you're looking for a new (and super affordable) way to celebrate Thanksgiving this year, Windy Hollow Biscuit House is serving it up buffet style for you. For the second year in a row, they're going to be serving a Thanksgiving feast for just $2.50!

The tradition actually got started back in 2022. That year, Evelyn Miller and her daughter Hallie McCarty decided to host a 'pay-what-you-can' Friendsgiving. Last year, they went back to their family's restaurant roots even more. They paid tribute to the Windy Hollow's first-ever, open-to-the-public Thanksgiving dinner. That was back in 1969.

Here's an old newspaper ad for that particular Thanksgiving feast. As you can see, the cost- way back then- was just $2.50. And look at that menu!

Last year's reinvention was a huge hit among patrons. According to Hallie, she, her mom and their staff served about 650 customers. This Thanksgiving, they want to serve even more.

And here's another really cool feature of Windy Hollow's Thanksgiving celebration- there will be community tables, so no one has to eat alone. It's a great opportunity to be thankful for new friends and company.

Speaking of the Windy Hollow Biscuit House staff, this has become a welcomed tradition for them as well. Evelyn says the 2022 Friendsgiving event was really popular among the staff at Windy Hollow Biscuit House and that carried over to Thanksgiving last year. She says, "They want to work. They ask to. And they love it."

In addition to charging the same price from 1969, Rooster and Hallie will again copy the menu from that year as well, with just a few modifications.
