King Kids Fishing Tournament Coming to Owensboro’s Yellow Creek Park

If your kids "gotta line and a pole," skip the "crawdad hole" as the song says, and head to a pretty good-sized fishin' hole at Yellow Creek Park and get ready to start reelin' em in.

Once again, King Kat has made Owensboro a part of its 2024 tournament trail, offering young anglers in the vicinity to have a day filled with fun and, hopefully, a LOT of fish. The King Kat team just wrapped one up in western Louisiana on Monday:

As part of its tournament trail, King Kat will host a youth fishing event at Yellow Creek Park on Saturday, May 4th from 9 AM to 11 AM, and there's a big prize for the big catch--and albino fish.

The King Kids Fishing Tournament is for kids aged 15 and younger, and skill level does not matter; if your child is a seasoned angler or a complete novice, this event is for them. Also, it is recommended that participants provide their own equipment and bait as there will be limited supplies of both at the tournament.

The big winner at the King Kids Tournament will be recognized at the adult tournament which will be held at the Owensboro Convention Center; that's where the live weigh-ins will take place. With boats driving in and driving out throughout the day, it promises to be very exciting.

And on Saturday, May 18th, King Kat will return to the tri-state for another tournament, this time in Tell City.
