One year, before my daughter was old enough to be in travel sports, my family and I hit a different Catholic Church fish fry every Friday night around the Evansville area during the Lent season. It was really fun to go sample all the different types of dinners and meet new people.

What is Lent?

In Western Christianity, Lent is celebrated for the six and a half weeks before Easter. It's 40 days of fasting, abstinence, and giving to prepare for Easter and is a symbolic imitation of Jesus's fast in the desert.
