Evansville Rescue Mission Adds New Shops to The Thrift Store at Washington Square Mall
Evansville Rescue Mission Gives Washington Square Mall Thrift Store a Major Makeover
If you like thrifting in the Evansville area, you'll love the changes and upgrades Evansville Rescue Mission has made to its thrift store space in Washington Square Mall.
Today, they unveiled the major renovations the entire mall wing has undergone, and there's much more to see than just the thrift store.

Evansville Rescue Mission Thrift Store Gets New Shops
In addition to the main Thrift Store, which offers clothing, housewares, and media, there's also the Mission Grounds coffee shop.
Now, there are some cute shops across the way, including an All-Things-Kids store with toys, clothes, puzzles, maternity and nursery items.

There's also a holiday shop where you can find items for just about every holiday. Right now, they have some super cute Halloween, fall, and Christmas items. I totally snatched up some light-up glass pumpkins!

More Space and More Ways to Shop
The furniture warehouse and chapel have also been moved, and Mission Grounds has expanded its seating area.

It's truly a one-stop shop for all of your thrifting adventures, whether you're looking for clothes, furniture, home goods, kids' items, seasonal decorations or just want to grab a coffee while you're shopping.

Washington Square Mall Is Getting New Life
And, even better, Washington Square Mall is getting new life.
Built in 1963, it's Indiana's oldest mall that's still in use, and it was great to see the changes happening throughout the space.
Tracy Gorman said in a press release:
"Just think, only a few years ago, Washington Square Mall had seen its better days - and was almost dead and forgotten! Now, through our work there, Goodwill's beautiful and significant operations, the Emporium opening, and so much more...Washington Square Mall is beginning to make a comeback - which will be so great for that end of the Green River Road corridor. If you're looking for a space to rent...talk to Hahn-Kiefer real estate!!"
It's always fun to see an old Evansville-area spot get a little love, and Washington Square Mall definitely has some new things happening.
If you're a thrifter, this is one Evansville shopping stop you'll want to add to your list.
