Add Madison’s Free Balloon Glow to Your Summer Calendar
There's something magical about watching a hot air balloon come to life after the sun goes down.
That experience is returning to Madison, Indiana, later this summer as the Madison Regatta Balloon Glow makes its annual return, giving visitors a chance to enjoy an evening of glowing balloons along the Ohio River... for free!
Whether you're already planning a trip to Madison or looking for a fun excuse for a late-summer road trip, this family-friendly event is worth adding to your calendar.
What Is a Balloon Glow?
Unlike a traditional hot air balloon festival where balloons take flight, a balloon glow keeps the balloons tethered to the ground while pilots ignite the burners after dark.
The result is dozens of colorful balloons glowing against the evening sky, creating a picture-perfect backdrop that's become a favorite annual tradition for Regatta fans and visitors alike.
