Evansville Goodwill Planning New Location In Newburgh
A new Goodwill location could soon be coming to Warrick County.
Evansville Goodwill has announced it has purchased property in Newburgh as part of a long-term plan to expand its services and community impact across the Tri-State.
What The Newburgh Location Could Include
The newly purchased site is being considered for a future Goodwill retail store and donation center.
If developed, the location would give Newburgh-area residents a more convenient place to thrift shop and donate while supporting programs that benefit the local community.
At this point, construction is not expected to begin immediately as the organization continues to evaluate plans and timelines.
Why Goodwill Is Expanding Into Newburgh
According to Evansville Goodwill leadership, the move is a direct response to strong community engagement.
“Our mobile donation site in Newburgh has shown us just how engaged this community is in supporting Goodwill’s mission,” said President and CEO Connie Ralph.
The organization says the new location would help expand access to programs focused on education, job training, and career development.
How Goodwill Stores Support The Community
Revenue generated from Goodwill stores goes directly back into local programs.
That includes:
- Free computer and digital skills training through GoodSkills Academy
- Adult education opportunities through The Excel Center Evansville Southeast
- Career support services designed to help individuals gain employment
These programs aim to help people build independence and create new opportunities through education and work.
What Happens Next
Details about the Newburgh location are still being finalized, and no construction timeline has been announced.
However, officials say the future store is expected to follow a modern design similar to Goodwill’s Washington Avenue location at Washington Square Mall in Evansville.
For now, the project remains part of a long-term vision to expand services and better serve communities across the region.
