If your perfect October weekend involves classic cars, rockabilly music, vintage campers, and maybe a whole bunch of hearses, there's an event coming to Evansville that checks some very specific boxes.

The Eville Shindig Hot Rod Kustoms & Rockabilly Weekend returns for its 11th year, October 15 - 17, 2026, at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Center.

And this isn't your typical car show.

Eville Shindig Returns to Evansville

The three-day, all-ages event centers around a car show featuring 1972 and older vehicles, but that's really just the beginning.

Eville Shindig also brings together vintage campers, vendors, a swap meet, vintage market, food trucks, burnout competition, jalopy races, pinup contests, and live rockabilly music.

Since we're firmly in spooky season, too, there will also be plenty of Halloween fun.

Friday night features the Monsters Ball Costume Party, while Saturday includes a kids' trunk-or-treat and an evening vintage camper crawl with adult trick-or-treating.

Eddie Munster is Coming to Evansville

This year's special celebrity guest is Butch Patrick, best known for playing Eddie Munster on the classic television show The Munsters.

Patrick is scheduled for meet-and-greets from noon until 4 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

Adding to the October atmosphere, the 2026 Shindig will welcome the Gathering of the Hearses, with hearses, ambulances, and flower cars invited to participate.

Three Days of Cars, Music, and More

Thursday kicks things off with the first day of the show, followed by a rockabilly pre-party featuring BoneDaddy, Nic Roulette & The Ricochets, and Wild Bill & The Bruisers.

Friday brings the Monster Ball, costume contest, and more live music.

Saturday's schedule includes the vintage camper yard sale, burnout contest, jalopy races, kids' trick-or-treat, pinup contest, Little Miss and Mister contest, awards ceremony, and the nighttime vintage camper crawl.

LOOK: These Photos Show Why ’70s Cars Were Something Special (and Obviously Better)

Big, bold, and built different — these ’70s cars looked and felt like nothing on the road today. Take a ride back and see them in their prime. [And we did our best to identify the models and dates, so if we got it wrong, gearheads, don’t come after us!]
