Why The Product Was Recalled

The FDA says the dessert may contain foreign material, specifically glass, which could pose a safety risk if consumed.

The recall has been classified as a Class II recall, meaning the product could cause temporary or medically reversible health issues. However, the risk of serious harm is considered lower than most severe classifications.

What To Do If You Bought It

Anyone who has purchased this product should not eat it.

Instead:

  • Dispose of it safely, or
  • Return it to the store for a refund

Even if the product looks normal, the FDA advises against taking any chances when foreign material is involved.

What We Know About The Recall

The recall was initiated on April 14, 2026, and remained ongoing. At this time, no public press release has been issued by the manufacturer, Lactalis Canada.

Roughly 2,800+ cases of the product were affected.

Why This Matters

Recalls like this don't happen often, but when they do, they're taken seriously because of the potential for injury.

Glass contamination, even in small fragments, can cause cuts or internal injury if ingested.

Checking your fridge for affected products is a quick step that can prevent a much bigger problem later.
