Luke Bryan Says Jason Aldean Can Totally Outdrink Him: ‘He’s Got a Tequila Tank’ [Exclusive]

Jason Aldean is a close buddy of Luke Bryan's, and what do you do with your closest friends? You roast them, of course.

So when I got some time to hang with Bryan on Taste of Country Nights, he was more than ready to start playfully ribbing Aldean.

When I asked Bryan to tell me some things about Aldean that his fans might not know, he lit up.

The "One Margarita" singer said, "Well, his fans need to know that if you're with Jason, he doesn't drink margaritas, he just shoots tequila, and that's a problem."

"So I just learned to do the... I do the old throw the tequila behind [my shoulder]... I don't know, he's got a tequila tank in there somewhere that he can hide it in," Bryan recounts.

Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean Release Their First True Duet

On Aldean's Songs About Us record, there is a song with the same title that features both Bryan and Aldean. This is notably the first time the two have done a true duet with just them, and no other singers.

They did join Eric Church on "The Only Way I Know," but since that is three singers, it doesn't qualify as a true duet.

Same goes for their 2025 remake of Shenandoah's "Sunday in the South," which featured the original country duo as well. Ditto for the 2017 group effort "Straight to Hell," which was led by Darius Rucker and features vocals from Bryan, Aldean and Lady A's Charles Kelley.

Luke Bryan Set to Release New Album, Signs

Bryan announced his next album, Signs, during Monday night's American Idol finale. The project is due out Sept. 18 and will include his current single "Country and She Knows It."

The country superstar is on tour throughout the summer, including a stop at the Taste of Country concert in Buffalo, N.Y. on June 26.
