Pickleball is rapidly becoming one of America's fastest-growing sports, and its popularity continues to surge. Personally, I've never played, having next to no athletic ability. That said, everyone I know who does play absolutely loves it. According to Sports Imports, the game involves using paddles and a perforated plastic ball, blending aspects of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. USA Pickleball notes that the sport was invented in 1965 on Bainbridge Island and is played on a court the same size as a doubles badminton court.

What is Pickleball Kingdom?

Pickleball Kingdom was founded by Ace Rodrigues, who wanted to enjoy the sport indoors out of the wind and other elements. In 2022, the company opened their first location in Chandler, Arizona, which features 15 individually fenced courts, a viewing area, a pro shop, a snack bar, and locker rooms with showers. Demand for more clubs continues to grow, as the company reports they have now awarded over 100 franchise applications. On August 14, Pickleball Kingdom announced they plan to bring several clubs to the Hoosier State.

Pickleball Kingdom Bringing 19 New Locations to Indiana

Pickleball Kingdom's growth initiative will introduce 19 new indoor pickleball facilities across Indiana. The expansion will be led by accomplished franchisees Dhaval Patel and Sanjay Patel of Pickleball X Equity. Sanjay Patel brings to the court over two decades of business management experience from New York City and Cincinnati. Dhaval Patel has also led various enterprises.

"We're thrilled to bring Pickleball Kingdom to the Hoosier State through our multi-location deal," Rodrigues said in a news release. "The pickleball community in Indiana is passionate and thriving. Sanjay and Dhaval's vision and commitment are commendable, and their leadership will ensure that these new locations offer exceptional pickleball experiences for all players."

The company added the expansion is aimed at making indoor pickleball accessible to all communities nationwide. No timeline has been announced, and there has been no word on just where the new facilities will be located in Indiana. I've reached out to Pickleball Kingdom for more information.
