One website recently ranked the most haunted houses from each state, and here is the house they dubbed Indiana's "most haunted."

Recently Ranked combed through hauntings all across the United States and found the most haunted house in every state. They named the Whispers Estate the most haunted house in the state of Indiana. Ranked states the reason for being the most haunted in Indiana, is because of the tragic history, and "whispering" walls.
Whispering Walls
Located in Mitchell, Indiana sits the Whispers Estate and this house is said to be so haunted that the walls "whisper." The Whispers Estate was built in 1894, so there is a lot of creepy history that's taken place at the estate. It's said the Whispers Estate was purchased in 2006 after being abandoned for several years. During restorations, disembodied voices were heard, and it's said that the walls "whispered" constantly, the whispering walls earned the Whispers Estate its creepy name.
According to the Whispers Estate website, the house was purchased in 1899 by Dr. John and Jessie Gibbons. Throughout the time they lived in the house they had many strange happenings. They adopted a few children, and one was a girl named Rachael. It's said that when Rachael was 10 she set fire to the front parlor where she was badly burned and later succumbed to her injuries. Legend has it that Rachael never left the house, and still likes to "play" around, the house. Visitors to Whispers Estate have reported seeing and hearing a young child playing about.
