It's been almost 10 years since I've stepped foot on the fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana. I remember visiting the Indiana State Fair for the first time and being awestruck by the amount of food, vendors, and activities happening throughout the area. This year's festivities will be no different, with over 100 FREE activities to enjoy along with over 140 food vendors. Folks can even experience it all with financial ease during the annual $2 Tuesday promotion set for August 6 and August 13.

$2 Tuesdays is presented by the Indiana Secretary of State and allows visitors to enjoy admission for just $2 per person. Additionally, folks can enjoy Midway rides and select food options for just $2 as well. Other discounts will be offered during the Indiana State Fair as well, including on Military & First Responders Day, which is Wednesday, August 7. On that day, first responders, current or former military members, and their families receive FREE admission with a valid ID. You can see a full list of deals and discounts here.

On Tuesday, August 6, I'll personally be making the nearly three-hour drive up to Indianapolis to check out the State Fair. As I said before, it's been almost a decade since I was there, so I'm anxious to see everything new in 2024. (I hope they still have deep-fried oreos.) Stay tuned for pictures and more.
