Indiana Men Now Ranked Among the Best-Dressed in the U.S.
A new survey has revealed the states with the best-dressed men, and believe it or not, Indiana now ranks among the Top 10. But why is that? Let’s take a closer look.
Alright—I'll be the first to admit that I know nothing about fashion. My usual attire is a plaid shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes or boots, depending on where I'm going or what I'm doing. As far as I can tell, this is how a lot of men dress here in the Midwest. However, little did I know, this is a popular trend that apparently the ladies seem to like. (We finally won one, fellas.) The website DatingAdvice.com recently surveyed 3,000 women across the country to determine which looks they loved best on a man. As you might have already guessed, the results are more than a little surprising.
Top 3 Best-Dressed States in the U.S.
Let's first talk about the favorite look for women across the nation. According to DatingAdvice.com, that would be the "Urban Edge" fashion demonstrated by men of New Jersey. It's a streetwear style encompassing clothing items like fitted jeans, designer sneakers, and leather jackets. This put New Jersey in the No. 1 spot for the state with the best-dressed men.
In second place was Pennsylvania with their "Classic Americana" look, featuring a mix of jeans, polos, and sportswear. Third place is where things get really crazy. Taking the No. 3 spot was Oklahoma with their "Classic Cowboy" fashion, complete with button-downs, cowboy hats, and boots. How on earth Oklahoma beat Indiana in this male fashion contest is absolutely absurd. I blame Twisters (2024) for this upset.
Hoosier Fashion Puts Indiana in the Top 10 Best-Dressed States
While Indiana men didn't crack the top three best-dressed states, we did manage to secure a spot in the top 10, checking in at No. 7. DatingAdvice.com noted that Hoosier women loved a homegrown look, favoring the "Midwestern Comfort" vibe, including items like laid-back work boots, jeans, and plaid shirts. However, it is worth noting that while survey respondents weren’t aware of which look belonged to which state, interestingly, several women ended up siding with their state’s men anyway. I suppose, as the old saying goes, "If it's not broke, don't fix it."
