One Indiana destination has found itself on the list of the best restrooms in America, but it might not be a place that you'd expect.

Public restrooms are very hit or miss. Most of the time, you walk into a public restroom and you feel like you need to wear a hazmat suit with how disgusting it is. Every now and then, you'll walk into a public restroom and you'll be surprised by how clean it is. Let's be honest though, those restrooms are few and far between. The majority of the time you go into a public restroom, you will find disgusting things everywhere you look like clogged and unflushed toilets, no toilet paper, and to top it all off, no soap to wash your hands.

Recently, the 23rd annual “America’s Best Restroom” contest — a yearly contest put on by Cintas, was held online. The top 10 finalists were selected based on cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality, and unique design elements. The winner was announced a couple of days ago. That honor goes to a Maverik gas station in Salt Lake City. It was honored with a place in America’s Best Restroom Hall of Fame and received a Cintas UltraClean restroom cleaning service and $2,500 in facility services or restroom cleaning from Cintas. An interesting thing about this year's finalists was that one Indiana restroom was named among America's best. While it didn't win, it's still worth honoring, especially if you find yourself at this destination in Indiana and have to go to the bathroom.

Indiana is Home to One of America’s Best Restrooms

Indiana Caverns in Corydon, Indiana is a popular place to visit in southern Indiana. Among its wide range of activities, it also is home to one of  America's best restrooms. According to Cintas:

Indiana Caverns is the longest cave in Indiana. It offers a full range of activities including zip lining, escape rooms and gemstone mining. When you step into the restrooms, you’ll forget you’re in a cave. The spacious restrooms were designed for practicality and hygiene. The walls and floors are tiled with simple, easy-to-clean materials in neutral colors. Multiple stalls make the restrooms functional and accommodating for visitors.

I wish I could find a video or photo to share with you of the restrooms there, but you'll just have to take Cintas' word for it being one of the best in America. I'll be honest, a place like this isn't what I expected to find on a list like this, but it's good to know that when I visit Indiana Caverns, I'll at least be able to use a restroom that isn't downright disgusting.
