Antique Hunting

Something I love doing is searching for vintage items and antiques.  My home is filled with vintage and antique furniture because I love finding unique pieces for my home. I also hate putting cheap furniture together, so I'd rather find a classic (already put together) treasure for my home.   Not to mention, it's just really cool to give new life to something old.  As the old phrase goes "one man's trash is another's treasure!"

Also, there is just something about the way things were made years ago.  Things just seemed to be sturdier and made better than things these days. Plus I love the fact that these pieces add a fun, unique flair to my home.

You Could Spend Days Hunting for Vintage Items Here

If you're working on that summertime bucket list, add Antique Alley to it!  This stretch along the historic Old National Road is home to more than 800 antique shops that are all unique, and filled with all kinds of vintage goodies.  This would be a super fun weekend trip. According to Visit Richmond, Antique Alley is home to two different trails, both taking you to a myriad of different antique stores.

Visit Indiana says that Antique Alley is the most diverse antique destination in the entire Hoosier state.

Everything old is new again and just waiting to be (re)discovered along U.S. 40. Running from Knightstown to Richmond along the historic Old National Road, “Antique Alley” is home to more than 800 antique shop vendors and dealers hocking their vintage wares and is one of Indiana’s most diverse antique destinations.
