Holiday World’s Happy Halloween Weekends Return for 2021

Another summer is in the rear-view, but that doesn't mean the fun at Holiday World is over. The park is bringing back their Happy Halloween Weekends beginning September 25th, giving you a few more opportunities to ride your favorite coasters before they shut it down for the season.

2021 marks the return of the Happy Halloween Weekends after the park decided not to host them last year due to the COVID pandemic. While COVID is still having a major impact on our day-to-day lives, the availability of vaccines this year has allowed the park to feel a little safer about bringing them back.

There is one major difference between the summer season and the Happy Halloween Weekends. Splashin' Safari is not open. I won't speak for you, but if the weather calls for me to wear jeans and a hooded sweatshirt, I have no desire to get soaking wet on one of the water coasters or water slides. Those are summer-only for me, thank you very much.

In addition to all your favorite rides, like the Thunderbird, Voyage, Raven, and Legend running as they do in the summer, Happy Halloween Weekends also feature several other attractions you'll only get to experience during the special event, including the "SCAREbnb," a family-friendly funhouse, Holidog’s 3D Halloween Adventure at the Holiday Theater, 12 acres of corn mazes and hayrides, Carnival Chaos, a series of mazes and “startles” is for older children and adults which includes strobe lights and occasional loud noises, Kitty’s Dance Spooktacular at Hoosier Celebration Theater,  and trick-or-treating for children 12 and younger.

The rising number of COVID cases in our area forced Holiday World to put a cap on the number of guests in the park at any given time near the end of their summer run, and that cap will continue during the Happy Halloween Weekends. That means you won't be able to purchase tickets at the gate. You'll need to buy them in advance through Holiday World's "Pick Your Date" calendar on their website.
