This morning, Friedman Park (the new park in Newburgh) posted a photo on Facebook about some damage done to a tree. They asked all patrons to watch the kiddos and make sure they aren't tearing up any part of the park - including the trees.

Remember the story of The Lorax and his beloved Truffula trees! And I kind of feel like this goes for all public park property. Just leave it be for others to enjoy too.

Friedman Park: Please DO NOT allow you children to pull limbs off or trees at the Park. This damages them and could kill smaller trees! We try very hard to have a nice park, it's up to all of us to keep it that way.
