Haunted Historic Evansville announced that their popular ghost walks will be back for 2024, but only for one weekend.

Ghost Walks

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I am a sucker for a good ghost story.  Ever since I was a kid, I've always been fascinated by ghost stories, and I remember being glued to the computer screen with my cousin trying to find the Grey Lady on the Willard Library Ghost Cams.   So I love the fact that ghost walks have become a popular event to attend around our area.  We have many great ghost walk options in the Tri-State as well!

If you've never taken a ghost walk, they are a lot of fun.  They're a walking tour of a specific area where a tour guide tells you some of the creepier stories that come from within the walls of historic buildings.   Downtown Evansville is full of so many stunning and historic building, so as you can imagine, there are some really interesting local legends surrounding many of them.   The Haunted Historic Evansville Ghost Walk will cover some of those local legends.  Some of these ghost walks will even host ghostly actors as well!

Haunted Historic Evansville Brings Ghost Walks Back for 2024

Haunted Historic Evansville recently took to Facebook to announce that they will be hosting the annual ghost walks for one weekend only this October.   The ghost walks will take place Friday October 11th and Saturday October 12th from 6 PM to 10 PM.

They say each tour will last just over an hour, and the tour is described as a "spooky theatrical experience" with ghost appearances from Evansville Civic Theatre Actors.

Pale moonlight illuminates monstrous, beautiful mansions blanketed by a clear black sky. Still, each one is an ominous haunted house with walls that echo stories of history, mystery and even tragedy.

The Haunted Historic Evansville ghost walks will take you back in time to haunts throughout Evansville's Riverside Historic Disctrict. Experience sights like the beautiful, historic Reitz family home with spirit appearances by Edward Reitz, Annie Fellows Johnston & Hallie Eaves Johnston (the Penny Lane Coffee Shop ghosts), Major Albert Rozencranz and more.

The walking tour will regale the district’s history, architecture, prominent residents and even ghost stories and spooky sightings.

Tickets for the tours are on sale now, and I can imagine will be very in demand.  If you're interested in going or learning more, you can check out tickets, here.
