Happy Birthday To the King

The King of Country, George Strait turns 59 today!

Born in Poteet, Texas, George’s ACM nominations for his career now totals to 70. Strait has acted in two feature films. He had a bit part in The Soldier (1982) and starred in Pure Country (1992). He also appeared as himself in The Horse Whisperer (1998) and Grand Champion (2002).

I can't tell you how many people that call into the station and say "Baby Boy, what was that new George Strait song you just played?" Only to hear me tell that who they just heard was Easton Corbin. It is incredibly hard to distinguish the two.
