Girl Scout Cookies Are On the Way to Southern Indiana
It's like Christmas in February! Girl Scout cookies are here, and the Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana (GSSI) have begun deliveries and setting up cookie booths.
If you pre-ordered some cookies, expect to hear from your Girl Scout in the coming days to arrange delivery. If you did not pre-order and you're jonesing for some cookies, don't worry, there are plenty of ways to feed your fix.
How to Find a Cookie Booth Near Me
From now through March 5th, you will start to see Girl Scout cookie booths at several businesses around town, and it's super easy to find one near you. Visit the Girl Scout Cookie Finder and just enter your zip code. You'll see all of the booths around that area, including the address and when the booth will be available. If you can't get online, you can always call the Girl Scout office at (812) 421-4970.
There is a third option for getting cookies this year, and that is through online ordering and shipping directly to your home. This new option will be available beginning February 17th. As an added benefit, GSSI will pay up to 50% of shipping costs for orders of nine packages or more.
Girl Scout Cookies Are a Win-Win
The obvious winners when it comes to Girl Scout cookies are the customers, as we get to enjoy all of that deliciousness. The cookie program has been a part of the Girl Scouts for over 100 years, so it is very clearly important to the Girl Scouts themselves. GSSI CEO Aimee Stachura says...
Through the Girl Scout Cookie Program, girls get a taste of being entrepreneurs and learn important online and offline business skills that set them up for success in life. Most importantly, all of the proceeds from the cookie program stay local to support girls in our community.
By purchasing Girl Scout cookies, you're providing opportunities for these young women to go on Girl Scout adventures throughout the year, which encourages them to explore what interests them, discover their passions, and take action on issues that are important to them.
