George Strait & Chris Stapleton Tour Coming to Indianapolis in 2024
One of the biggest tours in country music right now will be extending its run into 2024 and one of the stops will be in Indianapolis.
In the world of country music, there is only one king. That's King George Strait. Just to put into perspective how successful of a career he has had, George Strait has sold more than 105 million albums and counting while earning more than 60 major entertainment industry awards as well as countless nominations and becoming the only act in history to have a Top 10 hit every year for over three decades. Strait has 33 different Platinum or multi-Platinum albums, he’s earned the third-most certifications of any artist in any genre, following only The Beatles and Elvis Presley, and with a total of 60, Strait has more No. 1 songs than any other artist in history (including Elvis). THAT'S why they call him "King George."
In 2014, the world thought that George Strait would retire from touring with his record-breaking Cowboy Rides Away Tour. However, Strait has continued to perform select dates throughout the years. In 2023, he teamed up with Chris Stapleton for a series of one-off stadium shows in just six markets, with Little Big Town also appearing on each date. That tour was extremely successful, so now they have decided to extend it into 2024.
