Garth Brooks shared a cryptic countdown tweet today, but it doesn't mean what you think...

Today on Twitter I noticed Garth Brooks tweeted and all it was, was a link to DreamStillLives.com with the hashtag #DreamStillLives leaving many of his followers to wonder what it meant! When you click the link, all it does is send you to a countdown.  That's it. No explanation, just a clock counting down.

Many of his followers speculated that the countdown was to a new song, perhaps, an album announcement, maybe another massive tour?  But that's not what the tweet is for.

When I just now checked the countdown, it's at 3hrs and 40 minutes. In 3 hours and 40 minutes it will be 7:05PM.  At 7:05 PM on April 4th, 2018 it will be exactly 50 years since Martin Luther King Jr passed away. On April 4th, 1968 Martin Luther King Jr was shot at Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee.  He was then rushed to St. Jude, where he was pronounced dead, at 7:05 PM.

Today many artists are sharing the countdown, to honor the late Dr. King, and to remember all that he stood for. To remember his many contributions to the civil rights movement.

There still isn't a word as to what will happen when the countdown strikes zero, will the website do something to honor him?  Will the website just ask for a moment of silence to remember Dr. King, and honor his legacy?

We won't know until 7:05 this evening.
