Wake Up Ready for Battle at “Game of Thrones” Themed Airbnb in Kentucky [Tri-State Travels]
Winter has come to Lexington, Kentucky with this "Game of Thrones" Airbnb.
I have done several posts about places in the region that you can stay in when you visit the area. So I decided to find a new, unique place to highlight each week in the region that you can visit. This new series will be called Tri-State Travels. This doesn't necessarily mean that all of these places are found here in the Tri-State, however these are places that Tri-Staters might like to visit when they plan trips in these areas.
This week, let's highlight a very unique and cool apartment that you can stay in when you visit Lexington. Maybe you're going for a show/concert, or perhaps you are going to see UK play at Rupp, you can add something a little different to your Lexington stay by living like a Stark (not Tony) with this "Game of Thrones" lodging destination.
Game of Thrones is located in historic downtown Lexington, Kentucky. It's a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom that can sleep up to three. You'll be living like kings and queens when you stay in this chamber inspired by the hit show "Game of Thrones". According to the Airbnb listing, this place has a pretty cool Custom California King wooden bed that has a playroom and a mini-dungeon. While it's "Game of Thrones" themed, some might confuse this bedroom with "Fifty Shades of Grey"... but either way it's pretty cool. The apartment also features a bathroom that has a steam shower that can fit two people. All of the decorations in the place are from Old World Europe: hand-crafted torch sconces and medieval-style weaponry. Oh, and yes, there is a version of an iron throne here for those who were wondering.
This place is within walking distance from Rupp Arena and local restaurants and bars. It was also featured on NBC, ABC, and CBS, so it's pretty well known. You can learn more about Game of Thrones and find out how to book your stay by clicking on the Airbnb listing page here.
