‘Funny and Affectionate’ Cat Siblings Seeking Their Forever Family at Indiana Shelter
The Vanderburgh Humane Society has a cat problem. And by, "problem," I mean they have a few HUNDRED that they don't have the space for and need new permanent homes. Two of those are a brother and sister who are a couple of the shelter's longest-tenured residents. Meet Maci and Ryan.
Maci & Ryan's Story
What makes that fact even more sad is that they're only one-and-a-half-years-old which means they've spent practically their whole lives with the VHS. Fortunately for them, the staff at the VHS takes exceptional care of all the animals they house, so the two have had a pretty good early part of their lives. However, as anyone at the VHS will tell you, their goal is to move all the animals out of the shelter and into permanent homes with families who will love them forever.
Maci and Ryan are currently living at River Kitty Cat Cafe on the Main Street Walkway in downtown Evansville and according to the VHS, Maci is shy and reserved, while Ryan is the outgoing goof. Wherever she is, he isn’t far behind! He looks out for her, and she looks after him which has been the case since they were kittens.
Adoption Information
Normally, their adoption fee would be $80 each, but thanks to a generous donor, you can get both for that price. Despite the discounted fee, that $80 will still get you everything all adoption fees at the VHS include; spay and neuter, microchip, and UTD vaccines.
If you'd like to get a jump on the adoption process for Maci and Ryan, or any of the animals the VHS offers that you might be interested in, you can fill out some of the paperwork in advance on the VHS website.
