Festivals, Fairs, and Dream Bigger Weekend : Tri-State Weekend Top 10 [Sept 8-10]

Come walk or run with a shelter dog at every Saturday at 8:00 am.  Meet in the VHS rear lobby to pick up a dog and then head to Garvin Park. Participants actually walking the dogs must be 18+, but children & strollers are welcome to tag along.

Join us for an afternoon of fun for whole family at Holly's House. Activities are free, including a BMX bicycle show, carnival games, face painting, haircuts for kids, and more!. We also have a Cruise-In scheduled for "anything on wheels". There will be many nonprofit organizations available to answer question about their services

Free food for the kids and reasonably priced food items for adults.

The Zone has adopted a fellow gym, Woodlands Elite, in Katy, TX to raise funds for 37 families that have lost their homes due to the floods. We are collecting monetary donations as well as gift cards to help the families buy what’s needed to clean up and replace items damaged or destroyed. Drop off your donations at The Zone starting ​now through Saturday, Sept. 9 anytime between 4p – 8p during the week.

Parent’s Night Out on Saturday, allows parents to drop their kids off at The Zone for a nice little "date night." ALL proceeds from the PNO will be donated to those families

Evansville Museum will host its initial History Extravaganza. This family-friendly activity will have something for everyone, including hands-on history activities, presentations on local history, booths of local history organizations, historical re-enactors and more.

Highlights of the day include:

– Antique Bicycle Exhibition and Demonstrations by the Indiana and Kentucky Chapters of the Wheelmen

– The Lincoln Boyhood Adventure Mobile Play Area from Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial

– Informational Booths and Activities from many Local History Organizations

-Demonstrations by the Society for Creative Anachronism

– Speakers on Local History including, Dennis Au on the McCurdy Hotel, Harold Morgan on local transportation history, Stan Schmitt on the 1947 Evansville Centennial Parade with historic film footage in cooperation with the Vanderburgh County Historical Society and Joe Engler on the growth of schools in Evansville

Evansville's first Doggie Cafe is back by popular demand!! As a bonus this month we are featuring smoked BBQ by The Oink! We will have tables set up for an outdoor cafe! We will be serving BBQ ribs, sandwiches and chicken for purchase at a reasonable price. The outdoor cafe offers visitors a place to come to love on adorable, adoptable dogs of many varieties while enjoying food and drinks. You do not have to be looking to adopt to come by, just stop in and love on our adoptable dogs and get some great BBQ. Of course, we always hope there is a “love connection” for people looking to adopt. So, come out for our Doggie Cafe and support the homeless dogs of ITV!

We are offering pre-orders on BBQ items. Items can be picked up on September 9 between 11 am and 3 pm.
