For those who love hiking and being one with nature, who says you can't have fun in the wintertime?!  The Department of Parks and Recreation and the Evansville Trails Coalition have announced a series of winter hikes designed to encourage citizens to participate in outdoor physical actives year round.

The Winter Hike Series is a family and pet-friendly walk that will be held at a different park facility every weekend beginning on  Sunday, February 10th. According to the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Evansville Trails Coalition, there will be punch cards available to track attendance for rewards at the end of the series. So not only do you get to enjoy a nice hike, but you get rewarded for it too!

These hikes are free to take part in and everyone is welcome! Everyone is encouraged to walk at your own pace. Two-mile and four-mile routes will available.The winter hikes will continue through Sunday, March 3, 2019. You can check out the full winter hike schedule below!
