Evansville Water Utility Offering Christmas Tree Disposal
You may or may not want to accept it, but once Christmas is all said and done, it will be time to take down the lights and other decorations and store them away until next year. If you're a "real tree" family, it will also mean you need to figure out what to do with that now-dying plant standing in your living room. Fortunately, if you live in Evansville, the city's water utility is offering to take care of that problem for you.
The Utility posted a reminder on X, formerly Twitter (how much longer do we have to specify that, by the way?) that it will handle disposing of your tree for you. All you need to do is get it out of your house and set out with your normal weekly trash.
As noted in the tweet (or is the "x?" I'm still confused by this.), the offer is only available to Evansville Water and Sewer Utility residential customers who pay for trash and recycling services with their monthly water and sewer bill.
It's important to note the post specifies the offer is for "residential customers." According to the Utility's website, "it is not available to apartment complexes, mobile home communities or retail and commercial businesses."
