All Makes and Models

The Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) in Evansville has pets of all shapes and sizes. Or, as Executive Director Kendall Paul likes to say when she stops by the studio on Thursdays, "all makes and models, and all certified pre-owned." They also have them of all ages, from puppies and kittens that are weeks old to dogs and cats that have been around for a while. So there is an excellent likelihood that the VHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! Each week we feature a pet of the week from the VHS who is looking for a forever home, this week we are doing things a little bit different, because we have TEN pets of the week!

Meet the Parakeets of VHS!

The VHS as you know has all kinds of animals, they've got of course dogs and cats, but they have smaller animals too, like rabbits, guinea pigs, and even parakeets!

Every year, the VHS houses and rehomes all types of birds – From pigeons to parakeets, it’s something not a lot of people are aware of. Currently, we have TEN parakeets up for adoption! These beautiful birds are only a year old and can be adopted in pairs. Through February 15th, take advantage of our BOGO adoption special on small animals (including birds!)
