Evansville Regional Airport Introduces ‘Captain Crypto’ The Cuddly Therapy Dog
Last November, Evansville Regional Airport announced that they were working on a very special therapy dog project. Now, Crypto is fully trained and can't wait to meet you before your next flight.
If I had a dollar for every time one of us here at work said we really need a dog to cuddle, I wouldn't need to work. Sadly, we aren't allowed to bring our pups to work, but the next time you fly out of Evansville Regional Airport, you might get a few cuddles from Crypto.
Meet Evansville Regional Airport's Therapy Dog Crypto
According to his official trading card, Crypto's favorite activity is swimming. I would've guessed that it was flying! Don't mess with his toys. Crypto's pet peeve is when his brothers try to take them away from him. Oh, and he has a favorite treat called Wiggles and Wags Cookies.
EVV’s new airport therapy dog program, EVV Crew Dogs, helps provide comfort and calm to passengers through interaction with certified therapy dogs. EVV has launched the new program with founding EVV Crew Dog Crypto and a plan to add more volunteer teams in the coming months. EVV Crew Dog teams will periodically be available to visit with interested passengers awaiting flights.
Crypto The Therapy Dog's Schedule
If you want to cuddle Crypto in person, please be aware of his schedule. He's not on call! He is usually available for the early morning flights on Monday and Friday, and on Sunday his times will vary.
