Join the EPD, Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office, and 99.5 WKDQ for coffee, donuts, and good conversation in 2025.

For several years, the Evansville Police Department (EPD) has invited you to join them for a cup of coffee, a donut or two, and a good conversation during Coffee with a Cop every month. While I have been with WKDQ for ten years, 2024 was my first year on the Q Crew Morning Show, which means it was my first year attending each Coffee with a Cop. I have to admit, each event has been a blast. That tradition will continue every month throughout 2025 at various breakfast locations around the city.

What is Coffee with a Cop?

If you've never been to Coffee with a Cop before, the concept is pretty simple. It's an opportunity for you to chat with EPD officers as well as the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office about whatever is on your mind over a cup of coffee and breakfast. The conversation can be anything you want it to be. Notice something a little off in your neighborhood that you'd like the police to keep an eye on? This is an opportunity to let them know. Maybe you simply just want to hang out and roast Chief Phil Smith. You can do that, but you don't want to make him cry! What I am saying is, the possibilities of conversations with the EPD and Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office are endless, and it really gives you the chance to get to know the men and women behind the badge who have dedicated their lives to keeping us safe.

Coffee with a Cop 2025 Schedule

Coffee with a Cop will be adding a couple of new locations in 2025. Daily Grind and Revival Coffee Company will join Chick-fil-A, Mission Grounds, Penny Lane, and Donut Bank for Coffee with a Cop. These events take place every third Tuesday of the month, with the exception of October. You can take a look at the dates, times, and locations for the 2025 Coffee with a Cop events in the post below:
