The end of the school year is here, and the class of 2025 will soon say goodbye to high school and hello to their next adventure.

A Quick Message to the Graduating Class of 2025

I remember when I was a senior in high school, I kept saying that I had "senioritis" and was ready to be done with school.  But truth be told, I was also terrified to graduate, because going to school was all I had ever known for the first 18 years of my life.  It's normal to feel scared, excited, nervous, and maybe even sentimental about this time in your life.  If I could tell the graduating class of 2025 one thing, it would be this: you don't have to have it all figured out.

In fact, no one ever actually has anything figured out, and chances are if you think someone has everything figured out, they are very good at fooling you.  It's okay to not know what the next step in life is, and it's okay to not know what you want to be when you grow up.  I often joke and say that now I am in my mid-30s, married with two kids and a dog, and to be honest, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!  Life is one big adventure that you just kind of have to figure out along the way.

So if you're graduating from high school and have no idea what the next step for your life is, how exciting! Just know there is nothing wrong with not having it figured out, because that's life.  We're all just kind of pretending we know what we're doing.  Some people just pretend better than others.

A Rite of Passage

Graduating from high school is a rite of passage.  This major life milestone marks the end of a big chapter in young people's lives.   For many high school seniors, up until this point, every big decision in life has been made for them, but now is when they get to decide the next step in their lives.  It's exciting, scary, and wonderful!
