In the past few years, I feel like the popularity of food trucks has skyrocketed. While mobile kitchens have been around for decades, it seems as if more and more Hoosiers are hopping on board the tasty trend. Personally, I love a good taco truck, but I've also had great experiences with trucks that serve pizza, burgers, ice cream, and even Chinese food. They were all not only fantastic, but also affordable.

No matter what you're hungry for, the 7th annual Evansville Food Truck Festival is bound to have something to please your taste buds. The event will be held at Bosse Field on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. While walking through the festival, you can expect to find your favorite American comfort foods, seafood, barbecue, desserts, and more. You'll even be able to vote for your favorite, which will be crowned the "People’s Choice Champion." Voting gets underway the day of the event via the Evansville Events Mobile App.

Along with the food, guests will be able to enjoy an assortment of games and activities, including a friendly cornhole tournament. After all, it just wouldn't be an Indiana festival without a game of cornhole, right? Additionally, you can enjoy some live music featuring the 2012 Battle of the Blues winner, Boscoe France, along with several other groups. For the kids, there will be a petting zoo, pony rides, crafts, face painting, and a variety of other activities.

Over 30 food vendors are set to attend this event, and each will be offering a $5 feature in addition to their regular menu. There will be some other pop-up tents, shops, boutiques, and craft vendors on hand as well, so you'll also have plenty of shopping opportunities. It sounds like it's going to be another great year, and if you want to be a part of the fun, you can get your tickets here.
