Evansville First Responders Headed to Texas – Here’s What They Need
Hurricane Harvey ripped through Texas and first responders are still searching for people. Over 25,000 water rescues have already been executed and more are on the way. People are jammed into makeshift relief centers with no hope of going home any time soon. Rescue volunteers and victims, your fellow Americans, need YOUR help!
This morning, until 3 PM, you can drop off donation items to be taken straight to Houston. Five Evansville Police officers along with area EMS and Dive/rescue personnel will be headed down to Texas to assist with clean up and recovery after Hurricane Harvey’s devastation. They will be leaving tomorrow, Sept 1st, and need your donations as soon as possible so they can pack their trucks. You can drop off at two locations.
If can help out, donations can be dropped off by Thursday evening at the FOP office at 801 Court Street in Downtown Evansville and also at Crossroads Christian Church off Epworth Rd. in Newburgh IN.

I personally will not donate to charities that hand over millions of donation money to their leadership team. But, that's just me.
